Shadows Paranormal Ltd will not store or share financial information with third parties.

2.  AGE RESTRICTIONS

Shadows Paranormal Ltd events are open to persons over the age of 16 unless directed by the terms and conditions of the venue.  Under these circumstances, events will be restricted to persons over the age of 18 only.  Where an event is open to persons over the age of the 16, we must insist that all 16 and 17 year olds are accompanied by a responsible adult eg. family member or older friend.

3.  ACCESSIBILITY

Some locations are not suitable for clients with disabilities or walking/balance conditions.  Anyone with a heart condition needs to be aware that on occasions, guests can be startled when paranormal activity occurs and this can cause on rare occasions, panic and alarm.  This also means that our events are not recommended for pregnant persons or persons with any nervous disorder.

At Shadows Paranormal Ltd we value all our guests and aim to make as many of our events as accessible as possible but unfortunately due to the conditions of some of the buildings, this is not always feasible.  The safety of our guests and team is paramount.  If you would like any additional information regarding our locations please call us on 07909 610167.

4.  BOOKING/CANCELLATIONS

By booking onto an event with Shadows Paranormal Ltd, you agree that on entering the premises for a paranormal event, this is done so at your own risk.  Should any harm come to yourself or personal possessions this is also at your own risk.  Shadows Paranormal Ltd takes no responsibility for inability or deliberate acts to not follow health and safety guidelines delivered at the beginning of each event by Shadows Paranormal Ltd staff.​

It is your responsibility at the time of booking to ensure that you are able to make the event date as the locations that are hired by Shadows Paranormal Ltd are paid in advance and these costs are payable even if you cannot make the event.

By booking with Shadows Paranormal Ltd you agree to receive any emails, texts or phone calls related to your booking or the booked event you have made with us.

A deposit option is available on most events.  The value of this deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances unless the event has been cancelled by Shadows Paranormal Ltd.

If you pay to secure your place via our deposit option, the balance for your event will become due four weeks before the event date.  This can sometimes change depending on the location however you will receive an email with the payment details on.  Please pay this balance at your earliest convenience to enable Shadows Paranormal Ltd to pay any monies due to the location in a timely manner.

If the balance payment is not received within one week of the event date, we will attempt to make contact to issue a reminder.  If we do not hear from you or if the balance is not paid within 72 hours of the event, it will be assumed you are no longer able to attend.  If you arrive at the event without paying the balance, you will be required to make payment on-site before you will be allowed entry.  Refusal to make payment will result in you being refused entry to the event.

5.  CANCELLATIONS BY SHADOWS PARANORMAL LTD:-

There are occasions when events are cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of Shadows Paranormal Ltd.  If these events are cancelled then you will be given a full refund of monies paid for the said event.  However, if the event is rescheduled we may set limitations on any refunds requested.  We will endeavour to ensure that every client is made aware of a cancelled event as soon as possible.  Guests will be notified by email so please always check inbox/junk/spam folders for information.  We will also place notices on this website and on social media.  We will not refund any expenses incurred due to the cancellation of an event, this includes travel and hotel expenses.

Shadows Paranormal Ltd cannot be held responsible for areas that have been affected by forces of nature eg. flooding, snow, landslides, wind etc. resulting in you not being able to travel.  We cannot offer a refund or discount as the locations we hire will charge the same fee regardless of attendance.

In the event of severe adverse weather conditions, Shadows Paranormal Ltd reserve the right to cancel an event.  As much notice as possible will be given to guests prior to travelling to the event, however if the weather is such that any member of the Shadows Paranormal Ltd team is unable to reach the event, then we may be required to deem the event inaccessible and therefore cancelled.  This may happen as late as guests travelling en-route to the event.  We will endeavour to ensure that this is the last option taken and will always work towards the event going ahead as planned.

6.  CANCELLATIONS BY YOU:-

When we book our locations for investigation, we are committed to paying for the location and your place(s) prior to the date of your ghost hunt. If you decide to cancel your place or are unable to attend your selected ghost hunt then we are unable to offer you a refund. The reason being is that Shadows Paranormal Ltd are still paying for those places regardless of whether you are able to attend or not. All deposits, balances and full payments are non-refundable.

Only under exceptional circumstances and at the Owner’s discretion, a credit note or a suitable transfer may be be offered.  We reiterate that this is under exceptional circumstances and we may request proof of your reason for cancellation.

Tickets are not permitted to be resold/transferred to a third party.  This is to ensure that all attendees are fully aware of these Terms and Conditions of sale and that Shadows Paranormal  Ltd are aware of all parties attending prior to an event. Shadows Paranormal Ltd reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who has purchased tickets through unofficial sources.

7.  BEHAVIOUR POLICY

Shadows Paranormal Ltd insists that guests will act in a responsible manner and respect the needs of others. You will not cause harm or injury to anyone or put yourself or anyone else in danger.  If during the course of an event, anyone displays aggressive behaviour either towards other participants or to any member of the investigation team, then Shadows Paranormal Ltd reserves the right to ban such person(s) from taking further part and they will be required to leave the location immediately.

You will respect the nature of the event and behave accordingly and you will respect the beliefs of other guests if they are different to your own.

As the paranormal investigations will take place in historical buildings, guests are expected to treat the building, and the items within it, with respect.  Shadows Paranormal Ltd reserve the right to ask guests to leave the event if they are not being respectful to the building. Any damages that occur under these circumstances will be your responsibility to put right with the location managers.

Shadows Paranormal Ltd supply an array of paranormal equipment for our guests to use.  It is expected that all guests will treat the equipment with care and attention.  If damage occurs due to misuse, you will be held responsible and you will be expected to cover the cost of a replacement.

Shadows Paranormal Ltd have a strict zero tolerance to drugs and/or alcohol, if you are deemed to be under the influence, we reserve the right to refuse entry and you will be asked to leave the location immediately and no refund will be made.

There are strict laws on smoking indoors and Shadows Paranormal Ltd do not allow anyone to smoke or to bring any naked flames to the events. This includes candles and matches.  If the location allows, we will bring our candles and their use will be supervised by persons with Fire Safety training.  We will arrange for a designated smoking area outside, this will be pointed out on the night.

When Shadows Paranormal Ltd staff are delivering the health and safety briefing, guests are expected to observe and follow the information given.

When leaving the event you will ensure that due to the lateness of the hour you will respect the needs of nearby residents by leaving quietly and quickly.

8.  EVENTS

Your acceptance to these terms and conditions is deemed at the time of booking and in doing so Shadows Paranormal are indemnified against all legal liability in respect of claims or costs for any personal loss, damage to self or property, personal injury or death arising from your participation during the course of our paranormal investigations.   Shadows Paranormal Ltd carries Public Liability Insurance on all our events however we strongly advise that you have your own third-party public liability insurance should any personal loss, damage to self or property, personal injury or death occurs during the course of an event.

Guests need to be dressed appropriately for the event and be wearing suitable footwear.   Warm clothing is also advised as temperatures tend to dip during the twilight hours, and this is particularly recommended for any outside events.

Arrive for the event registration on time so that the event can begin promptly.  Guests who are late may not be permitted entry to the event.

Guests are only permitted access to areas of the building as directed by Shadows Paranormal Ltd staff. During these events, guests are expected to remain with Shadows Paranormal Ltd staff at all times.

Shadows Paranormal Ltd will provide guests with access to paranormal equipment, we expect this equipment to be treated with care and returned at the end of the event.

During group activities, Shadows Paranormal Ltd expect all guests to be respectful of each other,staff and to the venue.

Shadows Paranormal Ltd are not responsible for any damage to personal belonging or for any injuries from our events.  You are in derelict and dark old buildings for the majority of the time and therefore you must carry a torch with light pointing down when moving around the grounds.  Please be vigilant and take reasonable care of yourself whilst on event.

Shadows Paranormal Ltd do not take responsibility for any activity that occurs.  Shadows Paranormal Ltd also do not take responsibility should no activity be experienced, unfortunately it is the nature of paranormal investigations.  We do guarantee however, that anything experienced is NOT manipulated or faked in any way by our team.

Shadows Paranormal Ltd encourages the use of own equipment as well as what is on offer from the team so feel free to bring your own kit along if you wish.  Just please bear in mind that Shadows Paranormal Ltd cannot be held responsible for your own equipment.

Event participants must take full responsibility for any personal equipment or clothing.  Shadows Paranormal Ltd takes no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage during the course of an event and cannot be held liable for any such incidence.  This includes loss or injury during the course of any paranormal occurrence such as poltergeist activity.

Photographs and videos and taken on the night by our team.  If you do not wish to be included in any of the photographs, please inform us on the night.

People attending events must make their own travel arrangements to and from locations and this includes any overnight accommodation should the need arise.  Shadows Paranormal Ltd cannot be held liable for any payment regarding travel and/or accommodation.

Health and safety guidance will be provided at the start of the event, guests must adhere to the guidance at all times as directed by Shadows Paranormal Ltd staff. We reserve the right to ask guests to leave the event if they are not following health and safety guidelines.

Please ensure that you do not drive tired and you take all consideration into how tired you may be after an event and use your own judgement as to whether it is safe to drive after event finishes.

9.  COPYRIGHTS

The material contained on Shadows Paranormal Ltd including articles, website content, illustrations, artwork, graphics, logos, trademarks and any and all other components are protected by intellectual property laws.  All locations and events page detail has been interpreted from information obtained from the websites of individual locations, as well as other paranormal sites and general internet search. Unless otherwise stated, Shadows Paranormal Ltd holds all copyrights for site material.

Any display or printing of material other than for your sole, non-commercial use must be approved in written form by editors of Shadows Paranormal Ltd.
